The COVID-19 pandemic has placed unprecedented strain on health systems, testing them to and beyond their limits. This crisis has prompted those who design and govern healthcare systems to ask important questions around what could have been done differently to prepare for the crisis and how we can change health systems to make them more resilient to future crises and sustainable in the face of long-term pressures. The Health System Resilience Summit organized by the Partnership for Health System Sustainability and Resilience (PHSSR) brings together global leaders, innovators, academics, policymakers, patients and healthcare professionals to explore what we need to do now in order to strengthen health systems and so this pandemic would hopefully trigger positive change for the future.
The Asia-Pacific Hub of Reform for Resilience Commission at the Center for Asia-Pacific Resilience and Innovation is excited to take part in this event at World Expo Dubai. Reform for Resilience co-chairs José Manuel Barroso and Malcolm Turnbull, commissioners Chen Chien-jen and Stan Shih, and APAC Hub advisory board chair Chang-Chuan Chan will deliver remarks during the Keynote Session and PHSSR Launch session on January 31.
