Silva Shih is the Managing Editor at CommonWealth Magazine, one of Taiwan’s most influential media outlets. She oversees two editorial teams focused on data journalism and international affairs. She has reported from countries, including the US, China, Poland, Germany, Brussels, Vietnam, and Singapore, over the past two years. 

In addition to her editorial role, Silva is the co-founder of Hacks/Hackers Taipei, a grassroots community bridging journalism and technology. She also serves as a judge for the SOPA Awards and the Sigma Awards and is an International Trade Fellow with the National Press Foundation.
