Caroline Fried

DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH

Caroline Fried is one of the founding members of the Center for Asia-Pacific Resilience and Innovation (CAPRI) and its Director of Research. She leads CAPRI’s work as the Asia-Pacific research hub of the Partnership for Health System Sustainability and Resilience (PHSSR), a non-profit, global collaboration with a unified goal to improve global health by building more sustainable and resilient health systems for the future. She has research experience in the economics, politics, development, and history of the Asia Pacific, particularly Taiwan and China. 

Before joining CAPRI, Caroline was an academic editor and research assistant in Taipei. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, and a Master’s in Asia-Pacific Studies from National Chengchi University, Taipei, funded by a Fulbright grant.
