Aij-Lie Kwan is a Professor at the Department of Surgery and Division of Neurosurgery at Kaohsiung Medical University. She obtained her Ph.D from the Graduate Institute of Medicine, Kaohsiung Medical University. She is a member of the Taiwan Neurospinal Society, Taiwan Surgical Association, Taiwan Neurosurgical Society, and Taiwan Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is President of the International College of Surgeons. She has coauthored and published many research articles on Neuropathology and Neurosurgery in various national and international scientific journals.

Dr Kwan’s research interests include brain trauma and injury, congenital brain defects, brain arteriovenous malformation, brain tumors, nanotechnology, nanoparticles, bionanoscience, and nanomedicine applications in biomedicine.
