Jeffery D. Schwartz

Co-Founder, Jeffrey D. Schwartz & Natang Jewish Taiwan Cultural Association

Founder, Four Star Group

Jeffrey D. Schwartz moved to Taipei after 1972 to participate in Taiwan’s early industrialization and economic growth. Over the past 50 years, the Four Star Group he founded has grown into one of the leading supply chain management and creative consumer-product companies serving mass markets worldwide. Along the way, he built strategic relationships across Taiwan, Asia, and Western markets, helping drive the company’s long-term expansion.

Together with his late wife, NaTang (坣娜), he co-founded the Jewish Taiwan Cultural Exchange Association and the Jeffrey D. Schwartz Jewish Community Center in Taipei. The center is Taiwan’s only traditionally observant, kosher facility. Its award-winning main building includes a golden mikveh, an elegant ballroom, a kosher culinary lab, a school, a dramatic Temple Plaza, a synagogue, and the most comprehensive Judaica museum in Asia. Open to the public, it also serves as the hub of Jewish communal life in Taiwan and a key gathering place for visiting representatives from the Israeli government and technology sector.

Jeffrey D. Schwartz grew up in the US and graduated from Ohio State University in 1972.
