The Center for Asia-Pacific Resilience and Innovation (CAPRI) is Taiwan’s first nongovernmental, nonpartisan, international policy think tank. Established in 2022, CAPRI’s mission is to enhance global resilience and promote innovative policy by drawing on the experiences of the Asia-Pacific region through comparative public policy research. Our research and convening at the intersection of health, economic growth, environmental sustainability, and technological transformation provide policy insights from the Asia Pacific for policymakers, industry leaders, the media, and the public.
We are looking for a CEO and Executive Director to lead CAPRI’s operations, finances, fundraising, government relations, and programming from our office in Taipei. The CEO will report to the Chair and Board of Directors and manage a bilingual team of highly motivated and globally minded staff to develop and implement CAPRI’s strategic plans. Working closely with the directors of research, engagement, administration, and external affairs, the CEO will identify, initiate, and strengthen relationships with donors as well as research and convening partners; shape CAPRI’s international profile; oversee the recruitment of additional research and administrative staff; represent CAPRI externally, undertake financial forecasting, and ensure transparency, integrity, and discipline in all financial and legal matters. They will also oversee the development of CAPRI USA, CAPRI’s independent affiliate in the US. As part of this fledgling organization pioneering innovative ways of undertaking research and engaging policy communities, the CEO will have an instrumental role in shaping CAPRI’s external character as well as its internal culture.
On-site in Taipei. The executive director will be required to travel occasionally, especially within Asia and to the US and Europe.
